Are you eager to work with complex problem-solving related to downstream processes in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) development? Then you may be our new scientist within API process development The position We are expanding downstream development, and your responsibilities and employment terms will reflect your experience and competencies. In this position you will primarily be responsible for planning and partly executing laboratory experiments to develop robust and scalable purification processes to our pilot facilities, manufacturing sites and especially CMOs. You will: Be responsible for DSP for allocated API projects
Drive an overall process perspective, connecting challenges and potential opportunities for the entire process to seek the optimal solution together with your stakeholders and colleagues
Responsible for outsourcing activities, participate in CMO selection, transfer and continuous support of API processes and stakeholder relations
Perform, evaluate and report experimental work in the laboratory
Collaborate with laboratory technicians, including trouble shooting on technical issues
Participate in cross-functional project groups and professional collaboration forums
Be innovative in experimental design and optimization, identifiying innovative solutions to technical problems, data handling and secure IPR
Drive cross organisational optimization projects

To suceed in this role, you have: A PhD in biochemistry, (bio-)chemical engineering, protein chemistry or related discipline
Experience within downstream process steps such as chromatography, filtrations, enzymatic reactions and supporting analytics
Theoretical understanding in combination with practical experience from lab within chromatography
Driven complex tasks independently and can set direction when challenges arise in your projects
Knwoledge of CMOs
Been writing and reviewing regulatory and quality documentation (such as CTAs and CTD Module 3)
The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
