If so, this is your opportunity to join the Discovery ADME department in Research and Early Development at Novo Nordisk in Denmark! About the department The Discovery ADME department is part of the Global Research Technologies area, and is responsible for LC-MS bioanalysis, biomarker analysis, drug metabolism and ADME studies in the discovery phase of our research projects. You will join a department of dedicated scientists, laboratory technicians, and research associates. The position The research work is organised in multidisciplinary cross-functional project teams in which you will represent the department. You will be responsible for developing advanced LC-MS analytical methods for quantitative analysis of biomarkers with different molecular formats such as small molecules, peptides and proteins. Leveraging on a strong background in LC-MS based bioanalysis, you will be responsible for driving the development and optimisation of novel bioanalysis methods and biomarker workflows in the department. In your daily work, you will collaborate closely with project teams, department scientists and laboratory technicians. The working environment in Global Research Technologies is dynamic and innovative, and involves interactions with colleagues from other areas and global research sites, with an excellent opportunity to establish a strong scientific network. Qualifications The ideal candidate holds a PhD in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biochemistry or related disciplines with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience from industry or academia. Alternatively, you hold a Master’s degree with equivalent experience. The preferred qualifications include: Strong background in LC-MS(MS) and hands-on experience with commonly used mass spectrometers such as high resolution and triple quadrupole instruments. Experience with bioanalysis of different molecular formats such as proteins, small molecules, peptides. In-depth knowledge of instrumentation used for separation/chromatography: UPLCs, 2D chromatography, and knowledge of micro and nanoflow LC-systems. Strong background in sample preparation techniques. Knowledge of quantitative protein analysis or metabolomics workflows. Knowledge of liquid handlers, automated workflows and/or data science is desirable.
