As a Product Owner working with the development of one of our Clinical Digital Systems initiatives, “eSite Collaboration”, your focus will be on how to digitalise and significantly improve the communication with clinical investigative sites participating in Novo Nordisk studies. You will work closely with our CONNECT investigator portal product. In this position, you will drive an Agile Product Development Team to effectively secure business needs for future effective and GCP-compliant study management.
You will evaluate and balance how technology can support and enable the fulfilment of current business needs and ensure that our longer-term digital enablement strategy is fulfilled. Some of your key activities will be to:
  • Ensure that product discovery is done continuously, considering end-user perspectives. Prioritize and keep an overview of upcoming activities, both for Novo Nordisk and vendor-specific activities.
  • Analyse requirements, and work closely with clinical operations, counterparts, and IT to implement prioritized activities.
  • Drive risk and impact assessment of new requirements, including securing the right level of documentation.
  • Define and drive operational roll-out, support, and communication to end-users.
  • Challenge future needs and ways of working within the Clinical Digital Systems and Digital Transformation area.
  • In your role, you will work closely with product managers, scrum masters, subject matter experts and external site staff users to understand the needs of the business, as well as colleagues in Digital, Data & IT Development. Further, you will also work closely with relevant software vendors. Qualifications
    To succeed in this role, you should have:
  • Higher education within a relevant field and in-depth understanding of processes. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner. Background in trial management will be considered a plus.
  • Positive, solution-oriented, and curious mindset. Interest in process optimization and IT system development. Self-driven and enthusiastic approach. A holistic approach with a flair for distinguishing needs from nice, and an eye for simplification.
  • Proactive, structured, and strong desire to create real impact for the business. Ability to challenge and advise stakeholders and present complex matters in a clear and precise manner.
  • Ability to work in ways that are different from what you are used to and be comfortable with challenging our current status quo and comfortable taking hard decisions.
  • An impact on utilising the full potential of cloud-based technology for clinical study management in a collaboration that spans other IT systems supporting clinical development, clinical supplies, and regulatory affairs. Many internal and external stakeholders will rely on your business understanding and ability to combine business needs with technology enablers and platforms.
  • About the department The position as Product Owner is based in the Clinical Digital Systems area, part of a unit called Digital Transformation, Clinical Drug Development, where we are dedicated to leveraging cutting-edge digital technology, data, and processes.
