The position In this role, you will be leading a team of 12 Safety Medical Writers in Denmark to ensure Novo Nordisk's adherence to safety reporting requirements on a global scale. This will require a close collaboration with our sister department located in Bangalore. A significant aspect of your role will be exerting considerable influence to ensure the timely preparation of scientific documents of the highest quality. By leveraging your expertise and providing guidance, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to delivering accurate and timely scientific materials. Your main responsibilities include: Review and provide constructive input for key documents to ensure high quality communication and compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines, internal and industry standards Manage tight deadlines, foster effective cross-functional collaboration, and promote interaction with other functional areas within Novo Nordisk, particularly Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory Affairs Prioritise development and growth of your team members, ensure their professional advancement, and foster a supportive work environment Set direction for the team and, whenever necessary, to participate in the implementation of new guidelines and continuous quality improvement projects You will report to the Director of the Safety Surveillance Reporting and be an integral part of a management team comprising three distinct yet closely interconnected areas: Safety Medical Writing, Safety Publishing, and Business Support. Qualifications We are looking to connect with candidates who have: University degree within Natural Sciences (PhD/M.Sc.) +5 years of track record from the pharmaceutical industry in regulatory affairs, medical/clinical development, and/or drug safety Solid understanding and experience with medical writing Documented work in a regulatory environment, drug development and data analysis are very important Experience with pharmacovigilance and people/project management will be considered an additional advantage Fluency in written and spoken English At a personal level, you embody traits of integrity, responsibility, and excellent organisational skills. Your communication abilities are strong, enabling you to effectively convey information. When faced with pressure, you excel and make independent decisions while prioritising tasks efficiently. About the department Safety Medical Writing is part of the Safety Surveillance organisation in Global Safety at Novo Nordisk A/S. We are a highly engaged global team of 17 Medical Writers specialised within the field of pharmacovigilance writing, situated in sister departments in Bagsværd, Denmark, and Bangalore, India. The role of Safety Medical Writing is to prepare high quality periodic safety reports (including DSUR, PBRER, AOCs), global risk management plans (RMPs), and health authority responses for all Novo Nordisk products under development and marketed worldwide.
