The position
As our new Senior Global Portfolio Manager, you will work together with your team colleagues in providing commercial guidance to our R&D organisation, setting the bar for what success looks like in the future. You will be responsible for:
  • Shaping our early commercial assets and portfolio by driving relevant commercial and financial assessments
  • Providing strategic guidance on early competition through building a dynamic early competitor pipeline overview as the base for project assessments and portfolio strategy
  • Developing and maintaining a dynamic portfolio platform serving as the backbone for clear strategic decision making on project and portfolio level
  • Support on key project deliverables for project gate passages and governance interactions
  • You are expected to have an analytical mindset and a track record of driving commercial assessments through solid insights generation. You thrive in a collaborative environment and operate as a dynamic team player with experience working across the pharmaceutical value-chain. On a daily basis, you will work with a diverse network of internal colleagues from R&D, Commercial, Global Evidence & Patient Access, Strategic Finance, and Product Supply. You will work in a global context but interact primarily with headquarter functions and report to the Vice President of Early Pipeline. You can expect up to 5 travel days per year. Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in business/economics or similar
  • 3-5 years’ experience from commercial product development role in the pharmaceutical industry or consultancy
  • Demonstrated analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working across multiple stakeholders across the value chain
  • Excellent communication and visualisation skills
  • About the department Obesity Early Pipeline sets commercial direction and ambition for Novo Nordisk’s future obesity drug portfolio. The team shapes R&D projects by clearly articulating the patient needs and what makes projects commercially attractive in +10 years from now. We’re responsible for the early-stage projects from pre-projects to phase 2 and set commercial direction for both internal and external opportunities. We’re dedicated to build a successful obesity pipeline through strong commercial assessments and critical portfolio decisions.
