We are looking for a new colleague to join our department Global People Compliance where we primarily work with data privacy legislation in relation to HR data. The position You will be part of a department in Novo Nordisk´s global HR organisation responsible for ensuring that personal data are safeguarded and maintained appropriately for both employees and candidates. As Data Privacy Specialist, your main tasks include:
  • Carrying out data privacy risk assessments, Transfer Impact Assessments, negotiating data processing agreements and Standard Contractual Clauses as well as working with Binding Corporate Rules (which Novo Nordisk is covered by)
  • Working closely with the HR organisation in reviewing processes and HR IT-systems to implement the necessary data privacy requirements
  • Handling HR data breaches in relation to reporting, assessing risk level and implementing preventive actions
  • Providing ad hoc data privacy guidance to other parts of the organisation
  • Raising data privacy awareness in the HR organisation e.g., by conducting training sessions.
  • You will be interacting with other data privacy experts in Novo Nordisk globally including Novo Nordisk Data Protection Office. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to:
  • Hold a law degree or have similar qualifications
  • Have substantive experience working with GDPR in all aspects from a legal perspective, and have worked with other global data privacy legislations and/or practices
  • Be familiar with implementing best data privacy standards in operational processes and IT-systems
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • It would be considered as an advantage if you have previous experience working with global processes and collaborating with global stakeholders. As a person, you are independent, take initiative and have a positive can-do attitude as well as a sense of humour. You are able to see the broader perspectives of your work. You possess strong communications skills that allow you to make the complex legal requirements easy to understand. You build strong relationships with the local business stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and influencer. You naturally meet colleagues and stakeholders with integrity, professionalism and a solution-oriented approach. About the department The department is responsible for ensuring data privacy compliance in Novo Nordisk´s global HR processes and HR IT-systems meaning that we work primarily with GDPR but also data privacy legislation in other countries.
