Let’s talk about the role We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Python Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python web development, be self-driven and able to work on complicated problems in close contact with the business.
The candidate will join the NN Planner team which also is responsible for the development and DevOps of the application. The team is building an advanced automatic planning application called NN Planner. It provides planning, execution follow-up, and assists internal coordination within Quality Control laboratories, Quality assurance departments and production support teams. The application already integrates data from global LIMS (our laboratory inventory management system) and Outlook, and part of this position will be to expand on the data integrations to other systems. We use Python, Flask, PostgreSQL and Redis on the backend which we host in AWS. On the frontend we use React and TypeScript.

Qualifications and Expectations In the role of a Senior Python Developer, your responsibilities are to: Build and develop test driven REST APIs for our application in Python/Flask Build integrations to other systems and databases Ability to understand complex business domains and design features that solve complex problems in a simple and coherent way Support the operations, both with DevOps tasks and bug fixes
As an ideal candidate you have: Master’s degree in relevant subject with 3-5 years of experience Experience in Python web development (Flask, Django, Fast Api or similar) Experience working on SQL databases, preferably on a system writing to the database Good understanding of integer optimization problems and ability to develop and optimize integer optimization algorithms used in automatic planning (MIP) is a plus Professional collaborative software engineering experience: Git, peer reviews, test-driven development Experience in cloud platforms, CI pipelines (AWS) and Docker As a person you are communicative, driven by passion to help and don’t need a deadline to deliver. You also want to work incrementally in a team where focus can change in order to bring most value to users. As our corporate language is English, we expect you to be fluent both in writing and spoken.
