Do you want to work with analytical test methods and provide support to others? Are you positive, energetic, flexible, and a team player? Are you experienced within analytical testing techniques such as HPLC, UPLC and/or pH, and do you want to be part of a central analytical function, supporting QC in Novo Nordisk area globally? Then you may be our new colleague. The position We are currently looking for a skilled chemist for chemical analysis support in the Analytical Support team which consists of 8 chemists, 1 training coordinator, 1 project coordinator, 1 quality coordinator, 2 laboratory technicians, and 1 manager. You will be part of a group of method support chemists who are responsible for:
  • Supporting chemical analysis, both internally in the department and globally on IFPs QC sites which we help with method-related questions and complex problem solving, as well as training in new analytical methods.
  • Documentation of chemical analytical methods on marketed drug products in the diabetes and obesity area - and for ensuring compliance to pharmacopoeias and external requirements.
  • Writing external procedures and answering regulatory questions on method-related subjects to external authorities.
    • As we work under GMP requirements Change Requests, SOP updates etc. are a natural part of the job. As our new colleague you will furthermore contribute to optimisation of current analytical methods. Your main stakeholders will be colleagues in the department, IFPs QC sites across the world, QA, Regulatory Affairs and product project groups (working across production, specifications, analysis, Regulatory Affairs). A few yearly traveling days might be expected.
    Qualifications To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
  • A scientific academic degree such as cand. pharm., cand. scient., chemical engineer or similar. A Ph.D. in a relevant area could be relevant.
  • Experience from a GMP regulated laboratory, preferably.
  • Working experience as an analytical chemist on techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, AAS, pH, particle counters or microscope is an advantage.
  • High motivation for technical writing and preparation of documents.
  • Strong communication skills both in spoken and written English.
  • The ability to or interest in learning to communicate in Danish.

About the department The Analytical Competence Centre is a department in Injectable Finished Products (IFP) Manufacturing Development and consists of 65 employees organised in four teams. We have a central support function in relation to chemical analysis of Novo Nordisk injectable finished products under development, as well as our marketed products – for diabetes and obesity. The department is responsible for validation of analytical methods before clinical phase 3 and for the following transfer of the analytical methods to our QC laboratories across the world. We also support our colleagues globally with analytical knowledge and scientific help as well as drive optimisation of the analytical methods. Furthermore, the department has recently started on a journey towards the ambitious long-term goal of real time release testing of diabetes finished products.
