Would you like to be part of our new LabDroid laboratory automation platform and help define how we generate the biologics of the future? Then join us as a Senior Automation Scientist. The position As Senior Automation Scientist you will be responsible for the automation of recombinant protein expression and purification on our LabDroid platform. You will work closely with your colleagues, both in the Mammalian Expression department and the LabDroid team, on implementing methods, running experiments and optimizing workflows. You will plan and carry out experiments and adopt our platform to new projects and formats. Within the LabDroid team you will be the expert for recombinant protein production, and it will be your role to anchor the knowledge of the organization in our automation efforts. Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have: A degree within biotechnology, biochemistry or molecular biology, preferentially with a PhD A minimum of 5 years of experience in protein expression and purification from industry or academia with a focus on mammalian protein expression Experience within laboratory automation and high-throughput protein production, including programming of liquid handlers Experience with scripting in Python or C# are a clear advantage. In close collaboration with Global Drug Discovery and Digital Science & Innovation we are building a new, innovative laboratory automation platform for generation and characterization of our future drug candidates. You will become part of a young and engaged team that is implementing and supporting this platform.
