Development Finance is part of R&D Finance who are responsible for the financial management of the R&D organisation and the projects in our R&D pipeline. The Development Finance team is responsible for finance partnering towards the Development organisation and the late-stage R&D project portfolio and is thereby supporting senior stakeholders in prioritising and securing allocation of resources towards key R&D priori-ties. The department is additionally responsible for the financial management of the Digital Transformation portfolio anchored in Development. As Head of Development Finance, you will lead an ambitious team of 7 employees, supported by colleagues from Global Business Services in India. You are expected to set direction for the team and invest in the per-sonal development of the employees. Your main responsibilities: Represent finance in selected senior leadership teams and committees within the Development or-ganisation Together with your team, act as a finance partner to senior stakeholders across Development Take an active role in driving the resource allocation by providing financial insights and recommen-dations to ensure that decision-making reflects the strategic priorities of Development Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have: Master’s degree within business or economics with at least 4-5 years of relevant working experience Proven track of working in various functional areas and have a solid understanding of the Novo Nordisk value chain and/or the pharmaceutical industry Demonstrated ability to interact with senior stakeholders, capable of driving an agenda inde-pendently, and effectively communicate and influence decision making Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex information into strategic recommendations for management Beyond ensuring solid financial management, you have an interest in understanding the R&D stra-tegic priorities and therefore also curious to understand the business behind the numbers It is an advantage to have: Previous people leadership experience On a personal level, you are driven by setting direction, can bring a strategic & customer oriented mindset, and a strong business acumen. You can easily drive and adapt to change. As the Development organisation includes various global sites, it is important that you thrive working in a global organisation that spans across borders and nationalities.
