We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Developer with good communication skills who will shape, develop and implement digital solutions, ultimately unfold one of the biggest business opportunities we have in Novo Nordisk.
You will be joining one of our cross-functional scrum team(s) (Product Owner, UX/UI Designer, Front- and Back-end Engineers and Scrum Master). The team(s) deliver solutions to our clinical trial area, specializing in re-thinking how we enhance the digital capabilities of the clinical trial process in Novo Nordisk. Together with your team you will help evolve best practices for software development in this domain. Within Digital Accelerator we are also building out standards and sharing them across all our product teams to enable faster time to market and driving better outcomes for our customers and colleagues.
You will: Drive and build value-driving and innovative digital solutions from the ground up (greenfield software development) with a user-centric approach Explore new technologies and tools to apply during the development of these solutions Lead, guide, and mentor software developers on the team Prioritise your work with the team and its product owner, weighing both the business and technical value of each task Develop subject matter expertise within a technical domain area – actively mentors other across the organization/product in the subject matter expertise area Experiment, test, try, fail and learn all the time! Work closely with technical and business stakeholders Advise and drive decision making trough effective communication
As a technology choice, we are primarily using Microsoft Azure and .NET/C# for Backend, Frontend is Vue.js, the Mobile App is being written using ionic, and we are building full end-to-end digital solutions using Cloud and CI/CD pipelines. As we are pioneering the digital transformation of Novo Nordisk, we expect you to challenge and encourage the organisation as well as take part in establishing a strong internal community to share knowledge and takeaways.
Which competencies will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you should come with a strong understanding and hands-on experience within broad software development i.e. within system architecture, coding for scale, communicating possibilities about what can be built and maintained, as well as love to experiment and build MVPs. In addition: You have 10+ years’ professional experience and will likely come from a similar position You have solid .NET and hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, especially around PaaS/SaaS service offerings Experience with Mobil App development is a plus Broad knowledge of Azure resources and Azure Dev Ops are a plus Experience with Frontend Development in Angular, Vue or React is a plus You are passionate about development and could have a presence on GitHub or other OSS platforms with publicly available code that will help us assess your skill s
You should hold a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant field.
