The position
Your primary tasks will be to develop Instructions for Use and Medical Device Labelling for our device development projects and to maintain labelling for already marketed products. This includes both, hands-on tasks involved in developing the actual text for our instructions, as well as participating in strategic decision-making for each project.
The key responsibilities are:
• Ensure input is gathered for the development of the text that you will write
• Coordinate the graphical development for IFUs in close collaboration with the graphic designers in our area
• Deliver timely and high-quality User Communication & Labelling outputs in device development projects
• Ensure close cooperation with device development project teams and other key stakeholders
• Support our affiliates around the world in the preparation of the local version of our IFUs This is a unique opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams from Device & Delivery Solutions (DDS), Regulatory, Clinical, and Medical. Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have: • Master’s degree in a relevant field such as science, engineering, or linguistics
• Experience in technical writing, instructions for use, or labelling, preferably within the life science or another highly regulated industry
• Strong understanding of regulations and requirements and it is an advantage if you have worked with the following: ISO 20417, ISO 15223, ISO 11608-1, ISO 11608-2, and the Medical Device Regulation
• Experience working with Health Authority negotiations
• Proficient in written and spoken English, combined with excellent communication skills. On a personal level, you come with a user-centric mindset and are a strong team player recognised for your interpersonal skills and your collaborative can-do attitude. You have a high personal drive and ask questions and challenge status quo when things do not add up. Furthermore, flexible and used to working in a dynamic environment, structured, thorough, result oriented, and able to document your work.
About the department
The User Communication Development & Life Cycle Management team sits within the broader area of Packaging & Verification Development in DDS, and we are closely aligned with our sister team leading Secondary Packaging Development and Future Product Communication. We are a group of 9 highly dedicated and committed employees with a shared passion for creating patient-centric user communication. We are responsible for developing and maintaining Instructions for Use and Medical Device Labelling for all Novo Nordisk Devices. We also develop Directions for use for clinical trials. Furthermore, we provide communication that supports an easy understanding and safe use of our devices.

DDS has a long and outstanding track-record of developing the best, most innovative, and widely used injection devices in the world. In the development of medical devices, we ensure that user insight and innovation go hand in hand with a strong quality mind-set. We are organised in a large device innovation area of experts, providing state-of-the-art knowledge across projects. In DDS, we are more than 350 colleagues designing and developing innovative device and connectivity products and companion Software as Medical Device solutions to our drug pipeline. DDS has a strong record for on-boarding non-local employees and we welcome non-local applicants, willing to relocate to Denmark.
