The position As a Financial Controller, your responsibilities will be to ensure correct and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting via the accounting and consolidation routines, as well as processes related to production costing and inventories. Furthermore, you will:
  • Have a broad dialogue with our many affiliates who submits monthly financial reports, as well as our DK based functions who will count on your guidance on accounting related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with Novo Nordisk’s accounting manual, the Danish bookkeeping act and DK GAAP.
  • Work together with other colleagues in finance and the IT organisation to assess the current setup and processes before a major upgrade of our SAP system in the coming years.
  • Be involved in the quarterly- and annual report process, as well as the preparations of annual accounts for the Novo Nordisk group and various other DK based companies.
  • This is a great opportunity to join a well-established team with stable processes which is responsible for the consolidation at the corporate level of Novo Nordisk, and be in close collaboration with several corporate functions such as corporate tax, treasury, and our controlling unit as well as many of our 100+ affiliates. Qualifications Most likely, you hold a Diploma or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar. Furthermore, to be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Preferably, 3+ years of experience within accounting, consolidation, and inventory accounting and/or a profound interest to learn about this.
  • Strong analytical skills, an engaging personality and high level of independence for your tasks and projects.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English,
  • Proficiency in using IT tools such as ERP systems (SAP is a benefit but not a requirement), MS office and data analytic tools.
  • As an individual, you possess good communication and stakeholder management skills together with a good cultural awareness and sense of humour. About the department
    You will be part of team consolidation, which is responsible for many exciting tasks, such as consolidation of financial reports from our 100+ affiliates, correct cost accounting on production and inventories, and is our centre of excellence for accounting matters for our DK based companies. The team consists of 5 inspiring individuals who are committed to help our stakeholders in affiliates and other corporate functions on, while ensuring compliance with relevant accounting regulation. Team consolidation is part of Corporate Accounting headed up by Corporate Vice President Trine Haastrup who is global process owner for the Record to Report process within Novo Nordisk and is also responsible for internal controls, ESG- and Financial Reporting, as well as Payroll for the Danish based Novo Nordisk employees.
