The position As the Manager of External Financial Reporting, you will be leading a dynamic team of accounting experts and have the managerial responsibility of prioritising and organising tasks, ensuring high quality deliverables, providing sparring, feedback and ensuring people development of the team. Other main responsibilities include:
  • Being the process owner of several key financial processes such as preparation of external financial reporting on a quarterly and annual basis, quarterly controlling of the consolidated balance sheet and reporting to the Global Finance Leadership Team and the Audit Committee on accounting issues.
  • Being responsible for the global IFRS accounting compliance.
  • Acting as finance partner for Finance Leads in affiliates throughout the world as well as the Global Finance Leadership team.
  • Assessing impact from new IFRS standards and implementing these into our Corporate Accounting policies.
    • Your key stakeholders will be Investor Relations, Corporate controllers, Corporate- Tax and Treasury and our internal and external auditors. Qualifications You hold a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, and are most likely a DK State Authorised Public Accountant or have similar certifications. To be successful in this role, you:
  • Have solid IFRS knowledge and a minimum of 6-8 years of experience.
  • Are fluent in both written and spoken English on a professional level.
  • Are an excellent people manager and a high performer, who is used to act in an international setting.
  • Possess strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convince and create win-win situations with your stakeholders.
    • On a personal level, you demonstrate executive presence in your behaviour and management, with a trustworthy, proactive, and engaging personality, and are ready to invest time and effort in your personal and professional development. About the department The position is based in Bagsværd, Denmark; however, has global reach given the global responsibility for IFRS compliance. External Reporting is part of Consolidated Reporting, a unit within Corporate Accounting which is also responsible for consolidation, Internal Controls, ESG reporting and M&A Finance. You will be reporting to the Director for Consolidated Reporting. The team consist of five talented and engaged accounting specialists, typically with a background in auditing. The teams’ everyday activities are non-routine in nature, and evolves around advisory services on accounting treatment on different events e.g. on entering into licensing agreements or M&A activities. Further, at quarter- and year-ends the team zooms in on preparing high quality financial reporting to the markets through our quarterly Company Announcements, and the Annual Report.
