Gentofte

You are sitting at your desk writing your monthly trend report on microbial data, when you receive a meeting invite for the next day. It is regarding a project in another team. They need your input on the potential impact on production environment. Just as you accept the invitation the phone rings. It is an operator from production. There has been an alarm on a pressure sensor in the classified area, so room classification might be affected. You hang up and go straight to production to meet the operator. Together you have a look at what activities are going on in the area. You ask curious questions about the circumstances of today’s work trying to better understand what caused the alarm. You inform all of production not to go into the affected room. Then you coordinate with the operator team to ensure immediate collection of relevant microbial samples from the room. You call the external cleaning company to come and clean the room. Coordinate again with the operators to subsequently clean the equipment and collect another round of samples. Then you allow production to continue. Someone has a concern and disagrees with you. You listen patiently, acknowledge the concern, and then take your time to explain why your actions are necessary. When everybody is assured and aligned on the plan your return to your desk. Later the same day, you open an incident report. Within a given deadline you will have to describe the incident, your investigation made together with the operators, evaluate on quality, consequences, and improvements. Do you see yourself in such a position? One day you work on focused routine reporting, participate in improvement projects while suddenly you find yourself dealing with unplanned incidents in production, where you need a curious approach, close interaction with many stakeholders, and to make decisions impacting the entire production.
