The position
As Project Manager in the Legal Operations team, your core responsibilities will revolve around driving projects to digitalise, automate and/or optimise processes across the Global Legal function. Furthermore, you will take part in identifying and scoping our projects and in building business cases for senior management.
Being part of a bigger cross-functional team, your daily activities include:
• Prioritisation of tasks to maximise impact in projects
• Application of typical project management methodologies, incl. quantitative and qualitative analyses, identification of root causes to problems, building proposals for solutions and implementation
• Facilitating change management to reach the business goal

In addition, you will be expected to drive ad hoc activities focused on reaping efficiencies across the Global Legal function, e.g., related to sourcing of legal services, analysing spend data to target cost savings, and knowledge sharing. Due to the global nature of Legal Operations, this is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the global legal organisation and significantly enhance your project and stakeholder management skills from affiliate collaboration to senior management communication.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds 3-5 years of experience (from consultancy firm or similar) with:
• Process optimisation/deep process insight
IT Projects, including generative AI
• Change management and successful project implementation at scale
• Designing user-focused solutions, including user research and usability testing
Legal Operations require drive and stamina, since we often drive projects with long timelines or process improvements, therefore, success in this role requires managing a diversity of needs (from project demands to stakeholders) and sharp prioritisation on a daily basis. Furthermore, we expect you to thrive in an ambitious environment and welcome feedback. while being pro-active and comfortable questioning the status quo and valuing working in a team that encourages creative ideas and a diversity of perspectives. As you will work internationally and with colleagues at all levels in the organisation, you communicate clearly and concisely. This position does not require education or experience within the legal area.
About the department
Global Legal and Patents is responsible for managing legal risks and opportunities in Novo Nordisk and for driving the global legal strategy. Digitalisation is an fast-growing discipline within the legal function and we have ambitious aspirations for this digital journey and exciting projects in the pipeline. Legal Operations works across the global legal organisation and aims to deliver global solutions and improvements for the functions and affiliates. We see ourselves as the key enabler to ensure that we succeed with the global legal strategy and deliver user-friendly legal services to the rest of Novo Nordisk that are aligned with the Finance, Legal and Procurement’s overall digital direction and aspiration.
