Those are just some of the opportunities you’ll have when you join our fantastic team. We have several open positions for both Junior & Senior Engineering Responsible in our new facility project. The position In Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) we are expanding our API production facilities in Hillerød/Denmark to meet the needs of our expanding product pipeline. You will work with engineering activities on a highly critical project with strategic impact to Novo Nordisk’s future business. As Engineering Responsible you will lead and drive equipment design together with the external Engineering Partner as well as commissioning/test strategy and execution in collaboration with Engineering Responsible Lead and project team. Besides, your responsibilities will include:
  • Prepare engineering specifications for Vendors to follow
  • Review engineering design from both Engineering Partner and Vendors
  • Tender phase Vendor evaluation in collaboration with the Engineering Responsible Lead
  • Communication and follow-up with equipment Vendors and Engineering Partner
  • Procurement activities on equipment packages within your responsibility incl. visit/inspections and test activities at Vendors’ site
  • Handle technical clarifications with equipment Vendors
  • Share, discuss and align on engineering solutions with your Engineering Responsible colleagues across the project
  • In this position you should expect to travel mainly within Europe approximately 60 days a year.

    Qualifications
    To succeed in this role, you have:
  • An educational background within biochemical-/bioprocess-/chemical engineering or similar.
  • +3 years of experience (Junior positions) and +7 years of experience (Senior positions) within life-science industry and working with cGMP.
  • Preferably experience from execution of medium/large biopharmaceutical CAPEX projects to have a good understanding of scope of work.
  • Experience with design and validation of biopharmaceutical equipment (cGMP).
  • Experience with working in, and coordinating across, a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.

    Our team is part of the BRD Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Denmark Area located in Gentofte, Hilleroed and Kalundborg. This is where the active ingredients, going into all our life-saving biotech products, are made by app. 500 committed colleagues. We manufacture through complex chemical and biotechnological processes requiring a high level of expertise, commitment, and engagement from our employees and including cultivation, recovery, purification and freeze-drying. We are producing at full speed in existing facilities, while building and ramping up new state of the art additions to keep up with demand and new Novo Nordisk products. We bring value to patients by delivering the purest possible high-quality API made in compliance with Good Manufacturing Process (GMP). We drive change by always looking for improvements within our processes, but also in the way we work together to make our products reach as many patients as possible.
