Then we have the right position for you. For our process support team, we are looking for a chemist for the purification section of our Biotech & Rare Disease API production in Denmark. You can look forward to a job with varying tasks in an engaging and dynamic work environment. The Position In the position as chemist, you will be part of a team of academics and technicians who support the daily production. The production process consists of chromatographic purification, column packing, freeze-drying, and Environmental Monitoring among others. You work closely with various professional groups in a fast-paced production environment to ensure quick and stable delivery of product to the next level in the value chain, while maintaining the high level of quality that characterizes Novo Nordisk. You handle and document errors, and you communicate knowledge and learnings to colleagues in the team as well as in production. When challenges arise in production, you have the overview, take the initiative, and involve your colleagues, so that the problems are solved quickly and efficiently. You have an ongoing and engaged dialogue with your colleagues across production about how to ensure quality, improve our working methods, and avoid mistakes. You have different working tasks ranging from dialogue with colleagues about how to best make things work in a practical context, assessment of data and documentation, systematic problem solving, and project work to drive optimizations and innovation. Some days, quick actions are needed. Other days there will be room for dedication and exploration of new ideas. Together with the rest of the team, you will also be part of a 1st line rotation schedule that ensures easy access to support for production. Qualifications You hold an academic degree within natural science and have experience with pharmaceutical production in a GMP-regulated environment. Preferably you have experience with chromatographic purification, column packing, freeze-drying or Environmental Monitoring You are curious by nature, and you are not afraid to challenge existing believes and come up with a new, innovative approach. You are driven by a desire to improve and rethink our production processes and workflows. You get energy from helping others, building relations to people, and contribute to a strong community in the department. You can work independently and structured, and you keep calm in a dynamic and sometimes unpredictable production environment where tasks and plans can change quickly. At the same time, you are good at communicating your knowledge to colleagues at different levels, and you work extremely well in collaboration with others across professional groups. You thrive in an everyday life where work tasks vary from documentation and data processing in front of the computer to fast-paced problem solving with operators on production shopfloor. As a person, you are energetic, engaged, and helpful. You have sense of humour and you contribute to a positive atmosphere and culture in the workplace. You have a humble and listening attitude when faced with low-practical challenges and viewpoints of others, and you thrive on feedback and openness. We work as a team and stand together as a team meaning that you, if necessary, put the teams needs ahead of you own needs. About the Department Our department is a GMP-production, which covers the entire value-chain from fermentation of product in a host cell, followed by product recovery, chromatographic purification, and finally freeze-dried product. The department is on a journey towards increased production capacity driven by an increasing demand from the market.
