About the department This role invites you onboard into Digital, Data & IT (DD&IT). DD&IT partners with the business to support digital transformation and innovation in all parts of the Novo Nordisk value chain – from idea to patient. The digital transformation is a high priority, and the journey is on to stay on top of everything digital in Novo Nordisk. It’s a global journey to join 2100+ colleagues worldwide, driving tasks with a twist of digital, data, and IT. The position of a Senior IT Project Manager will be a part of the department that runs IT programs, projects, and agile teams in DDIT RED. The department has highly skilled and dedicated project managers who support the Research IT strategies by driving key IT initiatives. The department enjoys empowerment and autonomy and believes that it is the people’s differences, knowledge, and experience that create the joint strengths of the team. The role of Senior IT Project Manager As Senior IT Project Manager your project will be among the most strategically important in the company and will have top priority and support from Senior Management. This requires a high level of stakeholder management at all organizational levels in the company. Consequently, a job as Senior IT Project Manager offers you the opportunity to manage the whole project lifecycle and currently, we are embarking on the journey to adapt and work according to the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). You will be working on projects within the Research & Early Development IT portfolio depending on the fit between your profile and the business needs. You could ensure faster capture of laboratory research data or provide new analytical capabilities on these data. Depending on the size of your project, you will have project management responsibility for up to 25 colleagues and maintain a budget of up to 100 million DKK. Apart from working on your specific project or product you will also be involved frequently in pre-project discussions and consulting with the business in an architect/SME capacity, giving you the opportunity to shape the digital research initiatives, strategies, and roadmaps. What are we looking for? You likely have a strong background in life science, pharma, clinical environments, or similar. You possess strong people management skills and have a natural ability to engage your stakeholders. Furthermore, you are familiar with the agile mindset and have a structured way of working. You are driven by a curiosity about people, organizations, technology, and science. Lastly, you are ambitious about your projects and interested in growing your skills as well as expertise to lead the way. It is required of you to have:
  • 5+ years of experience with large IT projects and IT project management in large organizations
  • Experience from the pharma/life science industry
  • A proven track record of delivering business value
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • As a minimum a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, chemistry, biology, or another relevant field
    • As a person you are:
  • Excellent ability to communicate to the point, both written and orally
  • Independent, result-oriented, and take clear ownership of assigned tasks
  • Flexible, proactive, and good at taking the initiative
  • A true team player who enhances good team spirit and cooperate well with colleagues and vendors, and with a high degree of knowledge sharing
