The position As a Manager for R&D procurement, your main responsibility is to lead, develop, and empower a highly professional team of 7 Procurement Professionals, and stablish close relationships with key stakeholders in line of business to refine and manage sourcing activities withing Equipment & Service. Together with the team, you will be responsible for building, leading, and driving our R&D procurement strategy, while reporting directly to the Vice President, R&D and Laboratory – Corporate procurement. Other responsibilities and tasks for this position are: Driving engagement, motivation, and team development within the team Facilitating cooperation and coordination towards category managers Driving Procurement initiative to support the strategic direction in line of business Managing the needs and expectations from the Business ensuring our supply chain is competitive in regards of Quality, Sustainability, delivery, and cost Maintaining strong and effective collaboration with our suppliers Improving and driving optimisation of our R&D Procurement practices This is a great opportunity to be part of a high pace environment and a dynamic and highly collaborative team and have exposure to different organisational areas throughout R&D and beyond, and the job offers frequent interactions, as well as presentations to senior management. Qualifications The right candidate is looking for the next step in their career within procurement and is motivated by developing and driving new high potential sourcing projects.
The expected educational background for this position is a Master's Degree in business administration, finance, supply chain management or similar. Other success criteria’s are: 6-10 years of experience with proven track record of driving procurement best practice, sourcing processes, identifying needs and contract negotiation Experience in the Clinical outsourcing areas (e.g. pharmaceutical industry, CRO industry, etc.) is strongly preferred Great stakeholder management skills and ability to drive change management in a diverse customer landscape Leadership and people management experience will be considered as an advantage but not a requirement On a personal level, you are self-driven, analytically strong and have an strategic and international mind-set, probably from working in a global organisation. We expect you to be curious and have an interest in understanding the value chain in a large organisation, with excellent communication and presentation skills and experience of having senior and top management as your key stakeholders. About the department You will be part of R&D Procurement management where you, together with your colleagues, will work across the R&D value chain supporting Global Procurement activities.
