The Position
The project portfolio in Local Manufacturing is growing. Site expansions of our LM facilities and new Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) partnerships are in the project pipeline. That means Project Planning is one of our core focus areas and as Project Planner where you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining detailed project plans in an environment with various degrees of ongoing projects. Our plans are updated on a frequent basis, being one of the most important tools in delivering on time, being in control of plans and resources and delivering on our projects in a timely manner. Among your responsibilities:
• Your tasks will be planning and follow up on projects execution, and analysis of the project portfolio creating overview and in collaboration with Project Managers provide recommendations for upper management.
• Developing, establishing, and maintaining project plans in the MS Project Professional and Project Online in close relations with Lead Engineers, Project Managers, and the project team as well as CMOs. You will also be engaged on implementation and maintaining the process of locally build ‘Resource Management System’ involving Power BI.
• Participate in recurring meetings with Project team, Management team and CMOs.
• You will be involved in the process of Product & Work Breakdown Structure (PBS & WBS) and, as a part of that, help define activities, milestones, key deliveries and estimate time span in close relations with your important interests as also mentioned.
• Participating in project related workshops of which some you are expected to facilitate and take charge.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• A Master’s degree in Engineering or similar.
• We welcome applications with 2-4 years of relevant experience on project environment who are looking for the challenge of taking the next step into a senior role.
• Experience with MS Project, Project Professional, Project Online, Project for the Web Application (PWA), MindManager and Power BI.
• Fluent in English
The job requires that you are structured and with an eye for details. strong stakeholder management is a key success factor; therefore, you are an outgoing person, and you enjoy being a part of a project, which most often is needed to be changed and updated at times. The main point is to follow a process already decided upon while navigating within a shifting environment with many different stakeholders. You should feel comfortable in both working by yourself but also as a part of a team setting.
All LM Projects are anchored in the Virtual Project group with local project managers from all sites. That means your interfaces with the local and DK located Project Managers will have a very diverse composition and that a high degree of your work will be in a virtual setting.
About the Department
Local Manufacturing (LM) is part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organisation and consists of ~800 employees. The primary role of LM is the establishment and operation of manufacturing sites in countries where local presence is required to obtain market access. LM is present in countries like Japan, South Africa, Russia, Belarus, India, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia and Algeria.
Your psychical location is expected to be our Danish office in Søborg, but it will also be an option to work from other locations in a virtual setting once needed.
At the Project Management Office (PMO) in LM, we strive to be at the forefront of Project Management and Project Portfolio Management. We work continuously with developing best practice, sharing our learnings across projects and support our project managers through close collaboration with professional project resources such as Planners, Controllers, and Assistants.
