The Position Novo Nordisk has announced plans to invest more than DKK42 billion to expand existing manufacturing facilities in Kalundborg, to support the current and future company portfolio within serious chronic diseases. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced engineering manager to manage the scope of the project activities in terms of investigating design, constructability, schedule, and cost for a new production facility. The primary design principle involves incorporating top-notch standards from leading production facilities and ensuring optimal utilization of our PEM model (Project Execution Model) throughout the project. Your role will actively involve integrating with engineering partners, collaborating with contractors, and overseeing their activities.
In this role, you will be also responsible for:
• Leading change management initiatives and developing standards and guidelines
• Facilitating internal design and technology discussions, both with our team and external engineering partners
• Providing support to colleagues in navigating and solving complex challenges
• Designing, constructing, and optimizing systems and equipment for production
• Prioritizing innovative, efficient, and effective solutions
• Ensuring consistency in work quality, cross-disciplinary reviews, and compliance with pharmaceutical codes and regulations Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
• 5+ years of relevant engineering management experience in medical production, preferably in API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) production or finished products
• A master's or bachelor's degree, likely in engineering or other related field
• A strong understanding of process equipment, automation, and working in GMP-regulated environments
• Profound insight into systematic problem-solving
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English, along with experience in presentation As a person, you're a proactive self-starter with strong analytical and organizational skills, adept at independent task management. Your logical mindset navigates complex information from scoping to completion. You excel in networking, relationship-building, and securing commitments from stakeholders. Exceptional communication and a pragmatic approach characterize your style.
About the department
The department is a technical department consisting of Engineering Management (EM) and Maintenance in all approximately 20 persons are employed. You will be part of an Engineering Management team where collaboration and partnership are cornerstones in our way of working. The Engineering Management are owning the scope management for the different projects under the program, meaning when a change is proposed from a user, EM will make sure this change is developed, matured, and lastly approved and transferred to our Engineering partner. Further we make sure that alignment across projects is done, and to as wide extend as possible uniform solutions are implemented. Stakeholder management is key to our success and thereby the success of the program.
