Then, you might be our new Senior Global Communication Manager in Novo Nordisk’ Corporate Environmental Strategy Team
The position
As Senior Global Communication Manager you will be responsible for managing and developing Novo Nordisk communication efforts, press and external partnerships to support and amplify Circular for Zero, our environmental strategy. Your key tasks will be to: Continuously develop communication assets to adapt to an everchanging internal and external environment when it comes to environmental sustainability Act as point of contact for environmental sustainability for press and media inquiries Plan, facilitate and represent Novo Nordisk in a range of external partnerships and policy expert groups within climate and environment Develop key messages, speaking notes and briefs for Novo Nordisk Executive Management and Chief Sustainability Officer Monitor trends within environmental sustainability to help ensure that Novo Nordisk strategies and initiatives remain relevant Secure internal coordination and alignment on partnership strategy and activities across Novo Nordisk HQ, Novo Nordisk International Operations, regions, and affiliates You will do this in a cross-functional fashion with other team members, external partners, other departments in Novo Nordisk, and affiliates around the world. The position will give you the chance to work in a team that lives and breathes environmental sustainability and drives a range of advanced initiatives across emissions and plastic reductions, such as supplier decarbonisation, scope 3 roadmaps, design for circularity and take back programmes.
To succeed in this position requires the will to challenge conventional thinking and status quo, but also the diplomatic skills to unify all relevant stakeholders around a common objective. Qualifications You hold a Master’s degree in political science, communications, sustainability or related disciplines combined with at least 5-6 years of relevant experience including: Stakeholder engagement and management skills Experience in driving communications, knowledge-sharing, and campaigning, internally and externally Extensive knowledge about environmental sustainability and key trends within the area. On a personal level, you are structured and process oriented. You are comfortable working, both as part of a team and independently with responsibility for your own tasks, demonstrating flexibility when issues arise. You have excellent interpersonal skills, and a professional mindset and show personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative. Effective communication and presentation skills are required as well as an excellent command of written and spoken English with the ability to communicate complex matters in a simple and compelling way.

We consist of 16 dedicated project managers and specialists all highly engaged in driving the environmental strategy of Novo Nordisk – all located in Bagsværd, Denmark. Furthermore, we have a dedicated team of 4 colleagues in India. Our responsibility includes a variety of environmental initiatives across the organisation and with external stakeholders. We develop and deploy environmental strategies, run cross organisational projects, drive environmental intelligence, and ensure internal and external communication leading to a reduced Novo Nordisk environmental footprint.
