The position As Senior Project Manager, your main responsibility is to lead the device project team(s) from project initiation to launch and ensure that project deliverables are met according to the schedule and budget. You will manage a project that is based on a cross-organisational cooperation, and you will lead the device part ensuring that the key stakeholder, e.g., device development, production, quality, and regulations are aligned and work towards the common goal. Your main tasks will be to:
  • Align with the Program Manager, the project team, and stakeholders on scope, goals, and expected deliverables
  • Bring a new critical approach to development of the projects
  • Create plans and drive performance by monitoring progress, aligning priorities, removing roadblocks, and escalating issues
  • Drive projects and improve the way they are executed by challenging the status quo, identifying process gaps, and ensuring solutions are pursued
  • Create an engaging high performing project team
  • The portfolio of projects is not only expanding but also heading into new therapy areas as well as leveraging digital solutions, this means you will engage with project with a high-level complexity where we will need your expertise and drive to get the best results. To meet these new challenges, we need to refine our capabilities and processes – also within project management. Qualifications As Senior Project Manager, with insights into the project needs, you will be an important contributor in shaping the future ways of working in Devices & Delivery Solutions. To be successful in this role you have:
  • A technical Master’s degree in Engineering or similar
  • At least 5 years of project management experience within product development, product maintenance, or similar
  • Acquired project management experience within a production setting, a development organisation, or within other highly regulated environments
  • Full proficiency in written and spoken English
  • It will be seen as an advantage if you have team leader experience, managed large projects, and have worked within the pharmaceutical industry
  • On a personal level you have a proactive outlook, enjoy new challenges, and result orientated to drive processes and meet deadlines. You have experience navigating in a complete stakeholder landscape and can analyse and understand complex structures and systems and use excellent communications skills when presenting this. About the department We are a part of Novo Nordisk Devices & Delivery Solutions, which is responsible for the development of medical devices for disease self-treatment within all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. The projects that we manage range from pure mechanical medical devices through combination products (drug/device) to devices with connectivity that are integrated into a digital health solution system. We have a long and outstanding track record of developing the best, most innovative, and widely used injection devices in the world, and our projects are on the forefront of technology to meet real user needs for the benefit of people with different chronic diseases. The department consists of Project Managers responsible for managing the device part of all the projects and we have a close collaboration with the engineering part of our organisation as well as with the Program Managers who interact with the drug development within Novo Nordisk.
