This team is to be responsible for providing leadership, driving strategic initiatives, organizational management, communications, and culture change for the Chief Data officer as part of the Global Data & Analytics (GDA) team at Maersk.

The Portfolio Engagement Manager will partner with the Portfolio and Strategy Leader, the leadership team and engineering leaders to manage engagement across the leadership of all technology platforms, through the GDA portfolio leadership, to the Maersk’s Executive Leadership Team.

You will have a background in Product (strategy & roadmaps) and be a proven communicator with strong collaboration skills to improve and promote engagement across the orgnanisation.

Your creative flair and passion for content will allow you to develop communications to promote your message to key stakeholders and drive continued process improvement and change.

Responsibilities

  • Drive alignment between strategy objectives and product roadmaps,
  • Create awareness to GDA products by coordinating demos and GEMBAs, taking ownership of their effectiveness
  • Track roadmap progress against roadmaps across the portfolio
  • Draft inputs to progress reporting involving the Tech LT, Platform Leadership, executives and board of directors
  • Drive the governance process for new products, in collaboration with Transformation Office, Finance, and Chief of Staff
  • Understand complex tech issues and explain them simply via well put together communication material
  • Devise specific engagement materials and campaigns; engage in face-to-face meetings with commentators and other opinion formers across the business; and develop material supporting the Portfolio and Strategy Leader
  • Develop pre-canned repository of portfolio and technical information materials tailored by audience type/format
  • Draft content as required for Town Halls, Leadership offsites, Executive briefings etc
  • Develop cross-business engagement material related to the company priorities, Tech Strategy, GDA Strategy and other topics as required
  • Foster continuous improvement methodologies in day-to-day cross-portfolio engagement activities
  • Partner and shadow Portfolio and Strategy Leader, serving as a strategic business partner to support the execution of the Maersk data-first transformation

What you bring

  • 5-10yrs Management Consulting/Technology background (Product/Project Management)
  • Strong insights and understanding of technology concepts and processes (cloud, operational excellence principles etc)
  • Team player with exceptional attention to detail, who can intelligently craft engagement material for executive leadership, prepare presentations for board level meetings, and support senior leaders, partners and thought leaders across the business
  • Exceptional written, verbal, creative, proofreading, graphics, layout, design, and presentation skills
  • Ability to establish partnerships with senior stakeholders, consistently exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information whilst navigating a complex stakeholder environment and a wide range of needs
  • Self-motivated with superior planning, project, and time management skills
  • Ability to execute on multiple projects simultaneously in an organized fashion without prompt, working efficiently with a global team of colleagues
  • Positive and professional approach to management engagement, demonstrated ability to work calmly to tight deadlines, ability to solicit feedback, incorporate it quickly and maintain good business acumen in fast-paced environments
  • Continuous improvement mindset to improve current processes through creative solutions
  • Appetite for learning and career growth
