We are looking for a department manager to head our Active-Products department in Virum, with additional employees in Kalundborg. Here, we have a high-performance, international team of 36 committed process engineers for you to support and guide in the journey of building the world’s largest pharmaceutical facilities. In your team we design the process equipment from the very first conceptual steps to the final production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API). In this position you’ll bring your solid knowledge within process equipment into play, every day. And you take pride in supporting the team while keeping focus on resolving problems to the benefit of all stakeholders.

How you might spend your days
As department manager, you’ll be working with a highly skilled and innovative, multi-disciplinary team where your daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage your team, which currently consists of 27 full time employees (from Jr. Engineers to Sr. Specialists), 7 internal consultants and 2 students, located both in Virum and in Kalundborg
- Act as mentor and coach for the team members, make sure that they grow and develop on their projects.
- Assign the right people and balance capacity in relation to project demands.
- Coordinate with the mirror department in Bangalore, India.
- Work in close partnership with the management team in Process & Utility.
- Develop strategic initiatives in the department that are linked to the overall NNE strategy.
- Stay on top of future technological trends within pharma
- Maintain the standards and guidelines related to process deliverables, which you will have the overall responsibility for.

- You have a degree in engineering within chemistry, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical production.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in people management e.g., as team leader, department manager or project manager
- Experience from the GMP regulated industry would be considered a plus.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Danish and English.
