We are seeking a specialist to support molecular imaging solutions in projects across our R&ED portfolio. Join our team in Translational Molecular Imaging, where you'll be at the forefront of developing and validating novel imaging technologies to support the translational and clinical portfolio across Novo Nordisk R&ED. About the department Global Translation is an area in Research & Early Development seeking to support decision making in the project portfolio through an understanding of biomarkers related to how our innovative drug compounds work. Novo Nordisk is moving into new therapy areas and developing drug compounds with targets in new biological pathways. We are therefore building capabilities within early clinical development and biomarker driven decision making. The Biomarker Identification (BM ID) department in Global Translation identifies and selects new biomarkers using diverse expertise in proteomics, cellular biology, metabolomics, transcriptomics, bioinformatics and statistics. The department works in the space between Research and Development and is responsible for the early identification and qualification of biomarkers across the project portfolio. The department collaborates closely with other areas in Global Translation such as Translational Medicine and Biomarker Assay Development as well as stakeholders across Research & Early Development. The position The specialist will support decision making for molecular imaging biomarkers in early clinical development projects and design molecular imaging plans for preclinical projects. Our operational strategy is to conduct PET radiochemistry and molecular imaging studies through external academic and commercial partnerships. A key element is therefore to build and maintain a strong engagement with external networks to deliver molecular imaging solutions. As Specialist in Translational Molecular Imaging, you will: Provide scientific knowledge for efforts to develop and validate novel, or utilize existing, imaging technologies to support the translational and clinical portfolio across the NN R&ED portfolio Provide technical and strategic advice to projects seeking to employ imaging Support imaging in research projects via internal resources and external collaborations with the aim of supporting Novo Nordisk drug projects within all indications Building and maintaining a global external imaging network for Novo Nordisk Represent Novo Nordisk Translational Research internally and externally Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to develop and communicate a strategic vision to various partners across a broad organisation. The ideal candidate has a pioneering mindset, is proactive, self-motivated and demonstrates an independent working style while seeking to increase innovation in clinical development. We further expect: PhD or MD or MD/PhD with 5+ years of relevant work experience in academia or industry Strong expertise in radiochemistry and novel ligand development from bench to clinic Extensive experience innovative molecular imaging technologies and external collaboration Proficiency in English with strong communication skills Working at Novo Nordisk At Novo Nordisk, we don’t wait for change.
