The position As an Analytical Scientist, you will assist the laboratories with the implementation of new analytical methods in close collaboration with the lab technicians in the team. Furthermore, you will validate these methods for analyses of trial products for clinical phase 1 and 2 trials. Your support will be needed to ensure smooth execution of daily tasks for our lab technicians. You will also engage in close dialogue with our development team, various stakeholders, and the Quality Assurance (QA) department. Your specific responsibilities will revolve around utilizing analytical techniques such as HPLC/UHPLC, CE-SDS, and cIEF. Furthermore, you will play an integral role in implementing new solutions within the laboratory setting. Qualifications To succeed in this role, we expect the following: You hold a master’s degree or PhD in Science Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or a similar field Preferably you have experience within the pharmaceutical industry subject to GMP, and HPLC or secondly analytical techniques such as CE-SDS, pH, UV-Vis and Visual Appearance It is an advantage if you have experience within validation and standardisation of analytical methods, as well as with qualification of equipment, deviations, change control and laboratory investigations You like stakeholder management and daily collaboration with the lab technicians as the scientific go-to person You are good at creating an overview and prioritizing your tasks, even when deadline approaches As a person, you are self-driven and self-motivated, have a positive and open mind-set and enjoy working closely within the team. You have a natural way of creating networks and can build fruitful relations to both colleagues and stakeholders. Finally, you are a team player and contribute to reaching our goals. About the department The Department CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) Analytical Development is responsible for developing analytical methods, including validation, and delivering analytical results – thereby acting as the link between the research unit and the product supply unit, all the way from early development to phase 3 clinical trials.
We are organised into three highly skilled teams with a total of 62 employees: one team develops our analytical methods, and two teams use these methods to analyse drug product (DP) and drug substance/active pharmaceutical ingredient (DS/API) samples in tight collaboration. The vacant position is as an Analytical Scientist in the API analysis team.
