Your impact
As our new Tool Project Manager, you will become part of our NPI Tooling & Manufacturing Readiness Team. A team of 4 highly experienced and professional project managers together with a technical team consisting of 7 tool designers and 12 toolmakers. You will work in an agile project environment with technical solutions bringing vital plastic parts from early concepts to manufacturing. You will be an important part of a new interesting agile journey as the NPI and HW R&D organization is on a joined transition towards agile project framework.
Your responsibilities
The role of the Tool Project Manager is to ensure that Platform parts readily can be produced, and that Production is ready to produce the product:
• Project Management (planning, risk management, support, and follow-up)
• Parts delivered in accordance with plans and expectations of stakeholders
• Provision of tooling plans which are synchronized with all stakeholders (project, production, purchasing)
• Evaluate quotes from a technical perspective, and assess if tools, warranties, capacity, and cost is proportional with actual requirements, and adequately specified
• Business travels to visit suppliers – around 25-30 days/year.
Your authority
• Mainly operational level – focus is on deliverables, follow-up and decide actions to meet plans
• Accountable for ensuring a robust DfM and review process on tool bound parts and tools
• Accountable for enabling production ready tools in platform projects
• Together with purchasing do supplier selection for production and for tooling.
Your background
• Project Management skills, preferably with LEAN and Agile experience
• Technical education, preferable within mechanical area
• Relevant knowledge within Toolmaking, Tool Design or other tool related competences
• Language skills: English and preferable Danish, read/write/verbal
• Preferably 5-6 years of experience.
Personal kompetences
• Thrives with working independent and self-organizing the daily work. There are full technical back-office functions to support, but there isn’t a dedicated team structure around the project manager
• Openminded and cooperative approach with stakeholders
• Helpful and respectful mindset towards the other PMs in the department.
