We’re looking for an experienced Security Engineer to help us develop and guide our cloud solutions. You’ll be a part of the Data Management & Analytics department within Digital, Data & IT, where we focus on high-value creation and innovation. Join us in our mission to #BringDataToLife Let’s talk about the role As a Security Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the security posture of our technical ecosystem. Using AWS, Azure, and custom tools, you’ll work closely with multiple products and engineering teams to build sustainable cloud infrastructure solutions to support our data lake, data mesh, and data science platforms. Your tasks will include:
  • Developing and implementing the delivery of services related to cloud security, including fostering a culture of shift-left on security and collaborating with the identity layer to ensure a strong identity foundation.
  • Define technical standards to enforce cloud security controls, utilising the highest level of security automation to align with best practices.
  • Identify, analyse, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application security issues.
  • Assess and report on our security posture and mitigation towards senior leadership and other parts of the security organisation in Novo Nordisk.
  • Instrument the parent-level systems with centralised security provided by AWS.
    • Furthermore, you will:
  • Lead design sessions and implementation efforts on how security postures are measured and monitored across our platforms and products.
  • Coach and share knowledge with your colleagues through demos, co-development, and sparring, ensuring that expertise is spread across the team to enable collaborative ways of working .
  • Continuously develop your professional knowledge and skills through participation in external industry events such as seminars, conferences, and publishing activities.
    • The position is based at our site in Bagsværd, greater Copenhagen, Denmark. Since you will be working in a global environment, you must expect some meetings to take place outside Danish working hours and some travel activities. What we are on a look out for We’re looking for someone who can tick off most of the following topics as part of their experience/background:
  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, software development, or a related field , with at least three years of experience working with contemporary cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
  • Recent experience working in a security-focused role
  • Experience deploying with CI/CD and working with modern build, test, and deployment tools. Experience with a shift-left strategy on security would be an advantage.
  • Experience with cloud security vendors in the IAM, data protection, monitoring, and the IaaS provider space
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT security risk assessments and related frameworks
  • An industry-recognised certification in security would be an advantage .
  • The ability to understand complex technical matters, form an educated opinion, and communicate with impact to various stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise.
  • Strong drive towards collaboration; keen to share ideas, proposals, and knowledge with colleagues
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
