About the department
We support the production of GLP-1 analogues within the areas of optimisation of processes and trouble shooting. The data and results are used for developing and optimising purification processes for later implementation in the production facilities. We work with various protein purification processes incl.: preparative chromatography (ÄKTA systems) filtration (UF/DF) precipitation chemical modification of proteins drying (freeze drying and spray drying).
In Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), we produce the backbone of our many pharmaceutical products. API Process Support is part of Manufacturing Development, where five teams are responsible for the timely support of the many processes that create our products. The team consists of 16 lab technicians and Development Scientists. We are primarily engaged in supporting processes and projects related to optimisations across manufacturing plants in Kalundborg and the Unites States. We are looking into a future where new and significant business needs will result in a range of very ambitious projects and initiatives – and we are getting ready to support these as well.
The position
Your main objective in the role as Laboratory Technician will be to work with protein purification, to support projects, and to collaborate closely with the scientists in the team.
Primary tasks: Planning and conducting experiments in the laboratory Finding solutions to practical issues Taking responsibility for setting up day-to-day operations, for instance setting up experiments, performing maintenance of equipment Documenting and processing the obtained data results

Qualifications
To qualify for the position, we imagine that you: Have an education as a Laboratory Technician (Laborant) or similar Have 2+ years of practical laboratory experience Knowledge or interest within protein chemistry is an advantage Are fluent in English in both writing and speaking
As a person, you: Are structured and able to handle several tasks at a time, as well as prioritising between tasks in a busy and exciting workday Have a curious mindset, drive, and a positive attitude Can work independently, have good collaboration skills, are systematic and see tasks through to completion.
