Automation Engineer Manufacturing Development Are you eager to shape the future of and automate the aseptic manufacturing at Novo Nordisk? The position Here is how we expect you to spend your time in this role: Develop automated solutions for manufacturing optimization through traditional automation and robotics Collaborate with mechanical engineers and experts to design and implement prototypes and innovative solutions Act as a Tech lead/WPA or expert in automation projects Collaborate with suppliers for prototype design and ensure that the solution meets technical specifications Ensure implementation readiness for global production network by fulfilling technical documentation and requirements. As we are supporting our global production network, some travel is expected.
We have a strong focus on the development of our employees, and we expect you to prioritize and drive your own development with the support from your manager.
You are expected to have a role as either a mentor or buddy for either a colleague or one of your student workers. In manufacturing development, we have a close collaboration with universities, and we have many interns, bachelor or master students working with us.
Qualifications You have an innovative mind set and hold an engineering degree in automation and robotics or have obtained extensive knowledge about robotics and automation through your current work. Additionally, you have: Solid experience and a proven track record within robotics and traditional automation tools such as PLC and Automation drives. Knowledge or experience with Scada Experience working in a development environment, where you have practiced your automation skills. Fluency in written and spoken English is a must. Knowledge within GMP and new technology is desirable, but not essential. About the department You will be a part of our Test & Automation Development team within Manufacturing Development in Injectable Finished Products (IFP). Your primary working location will be at our Innovation Lab in Bagsværd with close collaboration and support to our Innovation Hub in Kalundborg.
Our mission is to minimise and/or eliminate human interventions during manufacturing of our injectable products as well as optimise capacity by means of robotics and automation solutions. In the team you will work together with automation and robotics engineers, automation technicians and skilled workers. In the department you will also work with a broad range of different professions together with external partners covering a wide range of disciplines.
