At Novo Nordisk, we are on a thrilling growth journey and as an Operations Manager in Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM) Operations, your overall objective is to ensure stable and reliable planning, production, and release of products to our patients and customers.
You will be responsible for the Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and your job will be to oversee the entire operation, improve collaboration, and ensure sufficient capacities and priorities in close collaboration with our Quality, Logistics, Support, and Strategic Sourcing departments. You will have a wide range of stakeholders, both internally in Novo Nordisk and at our CMOs.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• handling deviations, change requests, customer complaints, and other important tasks in a timely manner, to ensure products can be released in a good flow
• participation in some of our reporting processes e.g. monthly forecast, performance analysis, reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• driving/participating in optimization projects
Our CMOs are located around the world so travel activity is to be expected. We offer you an exciting job in an international environment with the possibility to play an important role in Novo Nordisk contract manufacturing. Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you have:
• Experience in pharmaceutical production environment and/or have worked with outsourcing of production and/or quality control processes
• Academic degree within a relevant discipline, e.g., Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, or similar
• Informal leadership skills and can facilitate work cross-functionally
• A strong quality mindset and solid analytical skills
On a personal level:
• You can build relationships through trust and transparency and are able to communicate across cultures
• You enjoy working proactively in a dynamic environment, with many tasks to coordinate and execute, with changing priorities and strict deadlines
In this role, you need good communication skills and a structured approach to gain commitment from both internal and external stakeholders. Also, you have excellent command over both written and spoken English and have a relevant business background. About the department
GCM is part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization and is responsible for all Novo Nordisk contract and license manufacturing of intermediates, drug substances, and semi-finished and finished drug products to global markets. The primary role of GCM Operations is to monitor, control and develop the production handled by CMO’s and to ensure the delivery of products to our respective customers. We are responsible for all operations towards our CMO's and sourcing of products into Novo Nordisk according to the demand from our production sites and customers worldwide.
You will join a team of 22 highly dedicated and talented colleagues where we have an informal and direct tone and where we value each other’s differences.
