The role is the first of its kind Identity and Access Management (IAM) is already an integrated part of the digital, data and IT landscape in Novo Nordisk. Now we want to make it fit for the future. Global Identity & Access Management is a newly established function in Global Information Security, reporting to the CISO and based in Digital, Data and IT in Denmark. The function is responsible for ensuring that IAM initiatives are aligned, run, and developed according to the strategic direction for IAM in [xxxxx]. The function is still being built, and will consist of internal employees and external partners, such as suppliers operating solutions for [xxxxx], and temporary project resources. You will own the process of taking the right decisions on implementation of IAM. You will coordinate various implementation decisions with relevant stakeholders and ensure that sufficient communication takes place. The Director of Global Identity & Access Management is heading up the governance body on Identity and Access Management, which is a virtual representation of areas within Digital, Data & IT and business functions, co-owning the implementation decisions for [xxxxx]. You will lead the process of building up this virtual team and ensure that the right capabilities are present. You have a unique chance to influence the future of this role and the function.
What's in it for you? The initial responsibilities include:
  • Build up the unit in a controlled manner and define roles and responsibilities
  • Own and lead activities related to implementation of the IAM strategy in [xxxxx]
  • Act in the role of Theme Owner of the IAM theme in the IT Scalability Programme
  • Own and lead operational excellence, maintenance and development of the systems and services delivered out of the IAM function
  • Establish, implement and maintain a common operating model for Identity and Access Management across [xxxxx]
  • Perform vendor selection where relevant, and create and implement a sourcing strategy
  • Ensure that services and solutions delivered out of the IAM function are compliant with all relevant [xxxxx] requirements and relevant legislation
  • Lead the IAM function and oversee the delivery of projects and services
  • Prioritise and ensure good collaboration and communication with all stakeholders
  • Provide thought leadership and best practices on Identity and Access Management topics such as authentication, authorisation, identity governance, identity federation and privileged access management

Your stakeholders will expect you to be calm and approachable and always deliver what you have promised. The job is located in Ballerup, Denmark with travel activity of max 30 days per year. Candidate profile The preferred candidate could come from various backgrounds. The following are examples of the qualifications we would prioritise:
  • A Master’s degree in IT, information security, or another field which is relevant for the job
  • Expert knowledge of identity and access management technologies, standards and frameworks
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience with information security, IT operations or IT development
  • Strong project management, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with making yourself understood by people with a different background than yours, both in writing and through presentations and personal interaction
  • Practical experience with IAM and IAM systems
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical sector and the regulatory requirements
  • It is a requirement that you can pass a security background check.
