The position
As a Global Head in the Obesity Market Access team, you will head the Global In-Market Access team where you will lead a team of highly dedicated Market Access and HEOR individuals to deliver the global market access strategies, planning of access launches and submissions across key markets as well as drive the deliverables for new indications and label expansions. You will ensure strong focus on navigating the payer environment to ensure innovative market access strategies to drive optimal access and set a strong direction for our future in Obesity. Joining the Global team in DK is preferred over virtual/remote work conditions so relocation is expected. Your main tasks will include:
  • Lead a team of senior market access and HEOR professionals driving HEOR, market access strategy as well as payer value communication and engagement
  • Oversee and partner on operational execution of market access strategies and achievement of team as well as organizational goals across payer channels
  • Lead the global strategy and the pre-launch / launch activities for label expansions and new indications for the new obesity medication
  • Provide direction and communication to teams and stakeholders on payer strategies for development projects, and drive market access strategy for the future obesity market
  • Identify payer environment trends, their implications, and solutions for access strategies within Obesity
  • You will work closely with global functions and stakeholders throughout the value chain, actively partnering with the broader network of market access stakeholders in Operations. Additionally, you will seek external advice to ensure the delivery of top-tier Global Access strategies and provide global support throughout the development, pre-launch, and lifecycle management stages.
    Qualifications To be considered for this position, you have:
    • Modern leader mindset incorporating empathy, compassion, and authenticity into day-to-day leadership
    • Successfully managed a bigger team of senior and highly dedicated project managers
    • Strategic and operational experience from both global, regional and/or affiliate market access roles
    • Comprehensive market access experience either from a pharmaceutical industry and/or a consultancy company
    • A high degree of business and industry insight, and solid experience with setting the direction and the strategy for your area
    • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills The ideal candidate would benefit from a thorough understanding of Therapeutic Areas (TAs), although it is not mandatory. An academic background in fields such as life sciences, economics, public health science, or related areas is preferred. Additionally, fluency in English is required for this role. As a person, you are an excellent communicator, have strong strategic mindset and market access and commercial understanding. You have a high degree of ambition and personal drive. It comes naturally for you to motivate people and building a high performing team. You will guide the team through periods of change and growth, ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining productivity. You know how to cultivate a positive work environment that promotes employees engagement, satisfaction and overall well-being. About the department The Global Obesity Market Access department within Novo Nordisk is part of the Obesity Therapy Area and drives the Global market access strategies for our Obesity portfolio. The Global Obesity Market Access team sets the payer direction for [xxxxx]’s future drug portfolio within Obesity as well as and drive pre-launch and launch activities in close collaboration with regions and affiliates.
