The position
As Project Engineering Responsible you will work closely together with the Lead engineering responsible in the project along with the project team leadership and functional line representatives to set the directions with regards to design and construction of 25L. This position is a great opportunity to contribute to the future API processes in manufacturing. Specifically, this will include:
  • Close collaboration with the lead engineering responsible and engineering management in the project.
  • Leading and driving design with teams and engineering partners across the project
  • Communicating and ensuring the collaboration between engineering partners, suppliers, and project team
  • Handle technical discussions with equipment suppliers in alignment with project scope
  • Supporting the strategy of commissioning and validation in collaboration with project team
  • Setting the direction for implementing systems with regards to maintenance, calibration, and daily operations when the factory goes into production
  • This project will give you the scope to be involved in a new, high-profile project where you will have the opportunity to be involved in shaping a new department and representing clean utility design at senior manufacturing level. As part of this exciting career opportunity, you will be required to travel up to 60 days a year. Qualifications To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
  • An academic degree within engineering or similar.
  • +5 years of technical experience within the pharmaceutical industry and and some specific knowledge about API production.
  • Knowledge about strategy for equipment and instrumentation. Experience with validation of pharma equipment is preferred.
  • Experience working with greenfield projects is an advantage.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English. Knowledge or willingness to learn Danish is a great advantage.
  • As a professional, you enjoy working independently, taking the initiative, and having an innovative mindset. As a person, you enjoy collaborating, learning, and sharing information with others. You are driven by achieving great results together with colleagues. You possess excellent communication and collaboration skills enabling you to interact with your many stakeholders from different functions and parts of the organisation.
    About the department
    Join us at 25L API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) Capacity Expansion and become a part of one of Novo Nordisk’s most significant expansion projects, embedded in Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD). In BRD, we are building a new API production facility in Hillerød that will employ around 340 colleagues. The highly automated production facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology that is flexible to accommodate new processes and products. It will also expand our portfolio of clinical late phase products and increase our capacity to serve more people living with rare disease and serious chronic diseases.
