Engineering Responsible – Piping Our team is expanding the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) capacity of our Biotech production in Hillerød with a highly automated facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The position In Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD), we are expanding our API production facilities in Hillerød/Denmark to meet the needs of our expanding product pipeline. As Engineering Responsible, you will work on a highly critical project with strategic impact to Novo Nordisk's future business. To succeed in this role, we expect you to:
  • Expand API production facilities in Hillerød/Denmark for Biotech & Rare Disease.
  • Lead piping design with the external Engineering Partner and develop commissioning/test strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Responsible Lead and project team to ensure successful execution.
  • Review piping design from the Engineering partner and contractors for accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervise piping fabrication, installation and ensure quality by conducting inspections and testing.
  • As a piping engineer, you will have a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of piping systems for construction projects. To support the project, you must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Qualifications To be considered for this role, you should have:
  • Academic degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in piping design engineering, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of piping systems, layout, material selection, and stress analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and regulations, including ASME BPE 2022, ASTM A-312, EN 10220, etc.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software Navis Work.

    Our team is working to expand the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) capacity of our Biotech production in Hillerød. You will become a part of one of the most significant expansion projects in Novo Nordisk – and when finished the facility will employ app. 340 colleagues. The highly automated facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology that is flexible to accommodate new processes and products. It will expand our capacity for our portfolio of clinical late phase products to serve more people living with serious chronic diseases including rare diseases.
