Are you energised by problem solving with impact? Can you identify potential problems before they arise? Are pipes, tanks, and valves part of your workday? Are you eager to learn and kick-start your career at Novo Nordisk? If you are ready to take responsibility for keeping operational equipment running in a manufacturing setup, with very high-quality standards, then you might be one of our two new Technical Supporters. About the department In Insulin Manufacturing 1 (IM1), we produce the core ingredients to most recent Novo Nordisk products. In IM1 Maintenance Development, our team includes 16 skilled supporters (primarily marine engineers) with broad expertise, that handle all the technical support needs of both the line and the maintenance department. We spend a lot of time on shop floor support, building relations and making sure that we fully understand the process and equipment that constitute the backbone of our production. Whenever technical issues arise – and preferably before – we facilitate the problem solving and the development of corrective and preventive measures that will allow the production to continue. The job Your days will be highly varied around pipes, valves, centrifuges, pumps, and columns, as well as all the maintenance and production colleagues that handle them. Often, your expertise will be needed for problem solving, facilitating the systematic root cause finding, on which we can base corrective and preventive measures. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Systematic problem solving and supporting process equipment
  • Taking necessary actions to increase productivity on the production line by optimising the maintenance strategies and performance of the equipment
  • Working with data, and the identification of trends, potential and risk through data analysis
  • Increase level of online monitoring of equipment integrity and predictive maintenance to take productivity to the next level
  • Driving internal development projects to increase OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), maintainability, performance etc.
  • Supporting large scale capacity projects with design and component know-how
  • As the position is highly visible, you will gain a large network with your contributions to the improved effectiveness of both production and maintenance. Sometimes, issues cannot be solved inside our team or department, so you will often find yourself working across the organisation, provided with valuable business insights that we expect you to transform into solid solutions with ambitious and obtainable goals. Qualifications We imagine you have an educational background as marine engineer (maskinmester) or similar with some experience in production optimisation or operation/maintenance of equipment. You could also be a technician with insights and experience in the below mentioned equipment. However, a relevant background and the right mindset is of immense importance, which is why the position can be relevant for recent graduates. To qualify for the position, you would need to meet the following criteria:
  • Have a thirst for becoming an expert in large machinery and equipment like columns, freeze dryers, hydraulics, pneumatics, centrifuges, pumps, and valves
  • Have a natural interest in solving technical problems and creating lasting improvements for both maintenance and production
  • Be strong in automation, refrigeration, pump theory, fluid- and thermo dynamics
  • Pay attention to energy and environmental issues
  • Represent a mix of technical skills with hands on and theoretical knowledge
  • Hold excellent stakeholder management skills and systematic problem-solving skills
  • The ability to explain, educate and tutor others about technical functionalities
  • Fluency in English is necessary. Danish on a conversational level (or willingness to learn) would be considered an advantage. Additional experiences that will be considered highly beneficial and valued:
  • Experience from GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) production, food- or pharma or even oil/gas industries
  • Experience with SAP
  • As a person you are:
  • Great at setting directions and energising people around you on your ideas and consequently transform your energy into solid results
  • Ready to work within the regulatory demands we adhere to as a pharmaceutical production, as well as having the motivation to learn more about it quickly
  • Able to create trustful relations with ease and thrive in the exchange of knowledge
  • A good listener when a colleague comes to you with a technical issue, making sure you get all the information you need to make a difference with your systematic approach
  • Holding effective communication and relation building skills. You are an energetic and outgoing individual who has an eye on detail, and you never compromise on quality
  • Working at Novo Nordisk We improve the lives of millions of people living with diabetes and hemophilia, in 180 countries around the globe.
