The Position As a Senior Process Engineer, you enjoy analysing and making sense of data, developing our fermentation, and maintaining process monitoring systems. The main tasks will be to:
• Analyse a large amount of data to extract correlations and causations for process understanding.
• Continuously improve the process, and it’s supporting systems, in terms of productivity and simplicity.
• Use a data-based approach for quantifying deviations.
• Use a team-based approach for recommending process optimizations. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have:
• A master’s degree or a PhD in Biotechnology, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or similar.
• At least 4-8 years of experience in manufacturing pharmaceutical or similar highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of scientific principles required for manufacturing pharmaceutical API.
• Knowledge of fermentation, data analysis and process systems, preferably experience with large-scale production.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English. As a person, you are a fantastic communicator that can express complex information to a large audience and explain the purpose to get everyone onboard. You enjoy applying a systematic approach to manage complexity and reach feasible applicable solutions to challenges. Your outgoing personality and attention to details enable you to work fast and set direction.

You find it easy to set direction and share your knowledge and experience with others. About the Department You will be part of a team of 15 highly dedicated process engineers and scientists. Therefore, advanced data analysis, process monitoring, dialogue with key stakeholders and recommendations for optimizations are crucial. You will be assigned to the world’s largest insulin factory - Insulin Manufacturing 1 (IM1), located in Kalundborg, the API Manufacturing Hub for Diabetes care at Novo Nordisk. As part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients is responsible for manufacturing all Insulin-based products.
