As a Finance Controller at OPDEV, you will have the following responsibilities:
• Ensure effective controlling and financial management of the area.
• Set-up and manage budget processes in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
• Do financial analyses, reporting, and presentations.
• Drive the monthly closing process of the area and ensure high-quality accounting practices including making accruals, re-postings, and invoice follow-ups.
• Follow-up and ensure transparency in the organization's performance against targets.
• Ad-hoc investigations and follow-ups on variances or financial issues Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:
• Academic degree within finance, accounting, or business administration with a solid understanding of accounting and finance
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience within financial planning and analysis, business controlling, or other finance disciplines
• Demonstrate adept stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Solid experience working with the Microsoft Office package (especially Excel) and ERP systems (preferably SAP) and preferably also Power BI, Tableau or similar.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal) As a person, you are proactive, self-driven and structured. You have a can-do attitude and bring positive energy. Your structured approach allows you to maintain a broad overview while paying attention to detail and you are data-driven and have an analytical mind-set. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships are essential since you will work across a broad stakeholder landscape as trusted business partner.
About the Department
At the department, we function as the control tower for the CVP area by securing clear strategies and robust business processes incl. the finance processes. Our mindset is, that we strive to have a one step ahead approach to our support setup, while we maintain a psychological safe environment for all. The department is part of Emerging Technologies (ET), a newly established SVP area in and we are well-known for having a pioneering spirit as well as a curious and daring approach.
