Corporate Procurement is responsible for the indirect spend in Novo Nordisk and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy. We consist of more than 140 employees based in Denmark and India, and globally 400 people work in procurement. The R&D Procurement team is an organisation supporting Global Procurement activities across the R&D value chain. As a Senior Category Manager in Corporate Procurement R&D, you will be leading and supporting sourcing and business development projects within indirect categories for R&D spend categories. You will work with development and implementation of sourcing/category strategies for R&D and conduct relevant change management activities to ensure that your results are anchored in the organisation.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the Equipment and Instruments category. This includes: Working closely with our colleagues in the Laboratories and in Early Development, procurement team and key stakeholders on identifying cost-out opportunities in our global organisation as well as drive procurement best practice, category management and negotiations Being responsible for managing the spend within your category in a professional way Defining a long-term strategy covering the needs of Novo Nordisk as well as ensuring a strong Supplier Relationship Management framework within the category Ensuring compliance to procurement standards and alignment with procurement strategies Managing the sourcing process and drive large supplier contract negotiations in collaboration with R&D stakeholders at all levels Furthermore, you will be exposed to different organisational areas throughout R&D and beyond, and the job offers frequent interactions as well as presentations to senior management. You will work in a high pace environment and be part of a dynamic and highly collaborative team. Qualifications
To thrive and succeed we expect you to have: Master's Degree in, business administration, finance, supply chain management or similar 5+ years’ experience in category management with a proven track record developing and executing category strategy and optimisation projects Solid background driving new high-potential sourcing projects Curiosity and interest in understanding the value chain in a pharmaceutical large organisation Communication and presentation skills in written and spoken English On a personal level, you are self-driven and can create results by motivating costumers, colleagues and project teams. You have great stakeholder management skills and can drive change management in a diverse customer landscape using your leadership skills to influence and impact key stakeholders. You are analytically strong and have an international mind-set, probably from working in a global organisation.
