The position At Novo Nordisk we are successfully expanding our drug development pipeline to benefit more than 20 million patients world-wide. This growing pipeline increases the need for outsourcing many of our drug development activities to CDMO’s and therefore also expanding the CMC Outsourcing team. We are looking for a Senior Contract Manager who will ensure great value in our CDMO projects through securing optimal conditions on e.g., Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), commercial terms, pricing models, liability and drive all aspects of contract negotiation and contract management. You will impact the supply chain value by optimizing contracts and negotiation processes, while taking long-term strategies, quality, and risk into consideration. The position offers you a broad organizational exposure as well as exciting development challenges. You will experience a high degree of responsibility in an engaging and professional working environment. Qualifications You hold a Commercial or Legal Master’s degree and at least +5 years of experience with conducting negotiations and drafting contracts, preferably from a multinational organization. Previous experience from the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage. Furthermore, you: have strong interest in developing your negotiations skills to the highest level can identify contractual risks and suggest potential solutions with input from relevant stakeholders. have a strong understanding of consequences when negotiating terms and conditions are fluent in both oral and written English As a person, you are outgoing with a strong individual drive and dedication. To succeed in this position, you will confidently navigate in a complex and dynamic organization with a constant strong stakeholder focus. As you will work with internal stakeholders and global suppliers, we expect you to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build and maintain good work relationships with your stakeholders. About the department As part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization, CMC Development (Chemistry, Manufacturing & Control) makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture, and distribute drug candidates for non-clinical and clinical trials which is a complicated journey that requires about 10 years of dedicated work in CMC Development. The CMC Outsourcing department consists of 16 dedicated and experienced employees. We are responsible for maintaining a portfolio of CDMO relationships and driving outsourcing activities; from selecting a competent collaboration partner, negotiating the contractual framework to project management of the project until all deliverables are completed. On top of this we also take part in evaluation and integration of new assets entering by acquisitions. CMC contract management is an integrated part of the CMC Outsourcing department.
