The position As Senior Manager, you will lead the newly established Trial Data Insights team within the evolving Global Trial Planning (GTP) function and play a key role in developing the team’s framework and the generation of data packages to support GTP-planners in driving the Country Allocation & Recruitment Strategy (CARS). Your responsibilities will include: Line Managing a team of Trial Data Analysts in GTP Establish the Trial Data Insight Team processes, tools, organisation of work, and systematic format of the deliverables Ensure seamless collaboration between the two teams, GTP-Planners, and Trial Data Analysts Drive and/or participate in further development and optimisation of the entire trial data insight strategy across GTP as well as the future development of the entire GTP function Since your team is still forming and no two data requests will look the same; it is an exciting journey to be part of and to lead, establish and shape the team’s development without relying on a step-by-step manual for all possible situations. Qualifications You hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in Science combined with experience in data & data analytics in another setting and with a strong appetite and learning agility for working in the clinical operation arena. Alternatively, you may have worked with clinical development in the pharmaceutical industry and have a strong proven appetite & flair for data and analytics. To succeed in this role, you should also have: Skills and practical experience in programming (python or similar), scripting and developing data workflows Proactive and curious about learning new things outside your area of expertise, and ability to work both independently and in larger teams Previous direct or indirect people leadership experience would be an advantage Ideally you have worked with change design & implementation leadership for example driving change-project teams across an SVP-area including design, development, and implementation ensuring success across relevant stakeholders at various levels in the SVP area Professional proficiency in English is required As a person, it is essential that you can use your good interpersonal communication & listening skills to achieve results together with your colleagues. About the department GTP is a centre of expertise within data-driven strategic patient forecasting and recruitment strategy. We are responsible for a strategic allocation of patients from more than 50 countries with local clinical staff into all our clinical phase 2 – 4 trials. The department name is unique to Novo Nordisk, but in many aspects the responsibilities resemble what is well known in the industry as the feasibility strategists Currently, we are thirteen colleagues in total, nine Global Trial Planners, and three Data Analysts, and we expect to grow. We are a relatively diverse group in terms of personal profiles, previous experiences, and educations. One thing we have in common is a background in science, and a strong appreciation for how our differences are strengthening our function and its deliverables. The department GTP is anchored to Clinical Drug Development (CDD) within the Development organisation. In Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product launch. We provide medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to global standards, regulations, and business ethics.
