Your role will be to help drive further professionalisation and qualification of our focus on transparent, efficient, and compliant indirect tax reporting and the provision of indirect tax advice in Novo Nordisk. As Novo Nordisk is expanding so does the complexity of our business and you will with other colleagues assist and advise line of business both in Denmark and globally on indirect taxes. Novo Nordisk is on a digitalization journey, and you will assist in ensuring the success of our tax technology strategy on indirect taxes including being involved in our journey towards SAP S/4 HANA. The position requires strong collaboration with local colleagues as well as with colleagues in our affiliates, and you must have a keen eye for ways to standardise and automate to make it easy to get it right. Qualifications
• You hold a relevant master’s degree and can demonstrate solid experience from a similar position.
• Well acquainted with VAT reporting requirements.
• You preferably also have knowledge on customs duties and excise duties.
• Work experience through positions in both the private and public sectors and you know the legal requirements on indirect tax, especially in Denmark.
• You possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as strong analytical skills and well-founded documentation practices, including strong data handling and Excel competencies. As a person, you are known for your integrity and your strong interpersonal skills, which enable you to create trust with your stakeholders. You have a high level of drive and a strong sense of responsibility. You are pro-active and ensure compliance, timely delivery, and high quality. You can handle complexity and know how to make things simple and understandable to people at all levels in the organisation. You must be an excellent communicator in English and Danish.
About the department
In Novo Nordisk’s Corporate Tax Department, we have 17 dedicated employees working in teams within transfer pricing, tax reporting and controversy, and indirect taxes. You will be part of the Indirect Tax Team, which handles VAT, customs duties, and excise duties. You will report to the Director of the team.
Further to this, you will be part of the Global Tax organisation which has around 70 employees worldwide. Working at Novo Nordisk
