The position As a Primary Packaging Engineer, you will be working in an inspiring scientific and innovative environment with highly engaged colleagues and in close collaboration with people from different areas such as R&D, Production and Supply Chain. The position is placed in headquarter Bagsværd. Your main focus will include: Being responsible for primary packaging components or systems for injectable pharmaceuticals, such as rubber plunger Bringing the new primary packaging materials from clinical development to market. This includes receiving documentation from R&D and primary packaging related regulatory filing activities and documenting the activities to be ready for health authority inspections. Handling lifecycle management activities of primary packaging materials for commercial products, e.g. evaluating new suppliers and implementing changes to component and technology improvements. Ensuring technical performance, processability and safety of the primary packaging components and systems. Leading investigations related to primary packaging components. This includes analysis of complaints, understanding usage, and investigating potential root causes to ensure components and materials meet performance and quality requirements Qualifications To be considered for this position, it is required that: You hold a master’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or any other relevant field within the natural sciences. You have at least a couple of years of experience within development or maintenance of primary packaging for pharmaceuticals, within pharmaceutical production, or within development of medical devices Experience with requirement/system engineering, safety risk management and quality specifications in the pharmaceutical business You must be fluent in written and spoken English. As a person, you are motivated by finding the solutions that are sustainable and can be incorporated in manufacturing processes. You work in a structured manner and take ownership of your assignment. You are result-oriented and take pride in delivering on your milestones. And you motivate your colleagues with a positive, forthcoming attitude. You work well independently, although it also motivates you to work together with colleagues and stakeholders across functions and departments.
About the department You will join the Material Manufacturing Development team within the Product Supply Sourcing Operations which consists of 70+ employees organised in 6 teams. We are responsible for development and implementation of complex materials (raw materials, excipients, Primary Packaging materials etc.) from development to production and maintain documentation on existing materials. We work with a variety of functions, including Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC), Device R&D, QC laboratories, Quality Assurance (QA), various Novo Nordisk production sites and a range of external suppliers and contract manufacture organizations (CMO).
