The position As an Associate Category Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Category Manager and together be in charge of securing an efficient and robust category management, both short and long term for the Production consumables and services. You will be based in Denmark and work closely with our local and global Production sites in Brazil, China, Denmark, France, and USA, and may expect to be involved in: Engaging with our global sourcing organization, suppliers and stakeholders to secure supply robustness. Collaborating with several development functions across Product Supply that work with developing specifications for both existing and new material, services and external requirements. Ensuring that category fundamentals, such as contracting, and supplier collaboration structures and risk assessments are all managed timely and according to internal procedures Work closely with projects that are looking into new processes, technologies, and new ways of sourcing to be ahead of the curve. Jointly responsible for supplier relations, budget, risk mitigation and price/contract negotiations to secure the best commercial terms. Exploring and creating category transparency across the organization by connecting projects and ideas within different fields, including sustainability, data management, procure to pay, source to contract, etc. You will be working with suppliers and internal stakeholders internationally and hence you should expect some travel activities. This position holds ample opportunities for personal and professional development. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to: hold a master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field e.g., supply chain, procurement, business, or engineering. have minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience from working with e.g. procurement project management, sourcing, category management, supply chain or business development within procurement in an international organization or a consulting company. be fluent in English, both written and spoken. you have a strategic mind-set and an ability to quickly understand different business models and industry dynamics. You can put strategy into action by breaking the bigger picture down into specific supply chain related decisions. you are a skilled professional with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of numbers. additionally, you enjoy working in a multicultural and high-pace environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’, and a healthy sense of humor to your work also when under pressure. Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division. We are responsible for ensuring that we have suppliers in place that can support Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our international suppliers, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that helps millions of people around the world to live with chronic. You will be part of a diverse department that ensures global supply of Distribution, Energy and Production consumables and services such as Gowning, Waste Management, Sterilizations services and other critical production materials and services. Joining our team, you will be surrounded by several experienced international Category Managers, allowing you to continue your development within the sourcing domain.
