Do you want to develop analytical solutions for future pharmaceutical production? Are you motivated to thrive in a fast-paced innovative environment with a broad ensemble of stakeholders? Then you may be the new scientist we need for development of analytical solutions for laboratories and production (PAT). We develop methods for real time release testing in the injectable finished products (IFP) segment of Novo Nordisk. The position We have expanded our technological capabilities so we can start developing these real-time monitoring methods in the laboratory. We are looking for a skilled scientist to help us design, develop and mature these technologies, so they become suitable for real-time monitoring in an aseptic production (AP) environment. This maturation process results in many interesting development projects related to the analytical technology itself, the implementation of the technology etc. You will be responsible for driving smaller projects investigating and evaluating the technologies we work with, while using that knowledge and data to contribute to, and drive further optimization. As we are constantly looking to improve our skillset and technology, some annual travelling days related to assessing are to be expected.
Qualifications To succeed in this role, we expect you to have: A technical/scientific background, and experience in designing and developing analytical methods related to testing in either a laboratory setting or directly in a process stream. Experience with analytical methods such as Raman, FTIR, UV, ICP-OES. Alternatively, you have solid experience with automated data analysis using tools such as MatLab, Simca, Python or similar. The ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing As a person you are good at collaborating and communicating with others independent of cultural, and scientific background. You are meticulous and detail oriented, but also understand how and when to compromise, so the end-product is fit-for-purpose. You thrive in a dynamic environment where we push the boundaries of what is scientifically possible and set ambitious goals for ourselves. Furthermore, we expect that you can work independently, are highly motivated, and that you have a positive mind-set with a desire to learn new things together with your colleagues. About the department The Analytical Competence Centre is a department in Injectable Finished Products (IFP) Manufacturing Development and consists of plus 60 employees organised in 4 teams. We are the central function for analysis of Novo Nordisk IFP during late-stage development, as well as marketed products. The department is responsible for validation of analytical methods before clinical phase 3 and for the subsequent transfer and ownership of those methods to our QC laboratories across the world. In relation to expanding our production capabilities, the department has created a team responsible for designing and developing high-throughput methods from the ground up to enable real-time monitoring during production, and real-time release testing (RTRT) in the future.
