As Director of Sourcing QC you will head up a well-established department and assume a key role in continuing to lead, develop and shape it in order to meet future demands. Your main responsibilities include: Setting the direction for the department according to Novo Nordisk Way (our company values): you will adjust the organisation to fit challenges and drive performance to reach targets and department goals Contributing to developing our QC area together with the management team Developing the department especially within LEAN and new technology/digitalisation: you will take part in driving the innovation and continuous improvement agenda both at a tactical and strategic level Developing the people: you will secure trainings and competencies development Driving and supporting the diversity and inclusion culture in the department and across Sourcing Operations. You will report directly to the Corporate Vice President of Sourcing Operations and be part of the management team in our area. Together with this group, you will be responsible for setting goals and implementing strategic initiatives for the whole Sourcing Operations. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to have: Solid leadership experience and ability to lead through others as well as coaching and motivating your own direct reports to deliver their best (preferably more than 5 years of experience) Knowledge of GMP Understanding and/or experience in working with processes, facility and analytical equipment within a QC or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment Interest or experience in working with continuous improvement; Lean, adaptation of new technology, and new ways of working Full professional proficiency in English as well as a relevant academic degree. You possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Last but not least, you are able to see where changes can be made to improve the department and make things happen. About the department Sourcing QC is part of Sourcing Operations, which has the overall operational responsibility for the inbound supply chain of Novo Nordisk and consists of 420 employees. You will oversee Sourcing QC, a well-established department responsible for testing of raw materials, excipients, primary packaging and packaging materials, both primary and secondary, for all Novo Nordisk productions worldwide. The department consists of 90 employees (Operators, Laboratory Technicians, Professionals and Specialists) led by an engaged leadership team with 5 Associate Managers, a project coordinator and a GMP coordinator.
